Touring Downtown Calgary (Banff National Park Hiking Expedition)

Touring Downtown Calgary
(Banff National Park Hiking Expedition)
Hello guys!
This is it, we have finally made it.
This is my last blog post from this Banff National Park hiking expedition series.
After spending a late afternoon and evening strolling Downtown Banff it was to head back to Calgary.
Driving back to the city it started snowing really really bad and it was impossible to drive in the snow.
One thing I have come to learn after spending a couple of days in Canada is not to drive in the snow.
I was able to stop at Jumping Pound Rest Area which it was on the way to Calgary and
spend the rest of the night sleeping inside the car until the snow storm passed through.
The next morning everything seemed to be better and I was able to make it to Calgary early
in the morning, there was a still a lot snow grains and just a bit of rain in the morning.
This didn't stop me from going out in the streets and explore Downtown Calgary,
which it was my last thing to do here at Calgary, Canada.
Since it was early Sunday morning not a lot of places were opened but
I noticed a lot of coffee shops, bars, and restaurants in every single corner.
Strolling down the streets of downtown it wasn't difficult to sight-see the great Calgary Tower.
While, I didn't have a chance to enter the Calgary Tower from the inside, or right above,
however, from the outside it looks pretty impressive and astonishing, so I was
able to snapped a couple of shots of this enormous tower.
Sculptures are a main thing to check out in downtown, the beautiful Wonderland Sculpture zone
offers several sculptures that I liked such as The Bow and the Family Of Man among others.
There are many others things available to visit around here which I didn't get the chance to stop
at such as Glenbow Museum, Prince Island Park, Peace Bridge and lastly China Town.
Anyways guys, this whole hiking expedition on Banff National Park, Calgary and Canada
has been an accomplishment for me, to being able to travel to a country like Canada
which offers a great hospitality and makes you feel welcome is something you don't take for granted.
In the event you guys ever try to visit Canada or Banff National Park go ahead and take
a look at these series of blog posts to get more information about these amazing places.
As always, thank you for reading and I'll catch you guys on the next blog post.
