Clubhouse Beach (Everglades National Park)
As most of you know when I'm not doing any fashion styling,
I am probably pursuing other hobbies of mine,
one of them is hiking.
This past weekend a couple of buddies and
I decided to try Everglades National Park for the first time.
Our plan consisted to hike down to Clubhouse Beach,
it's about 12 mile round-trip, approximately 3+ hours depending on your pace.
Unfortunately, we came across with a totally different trail,
which it was not easy to walk,
and the pace of your steps were on slow-motion (literally).
from mosquitoes biting you constantly,
to hike through the humidity and heat,
to walk through wooded areas with swampy trail.
For a moment it felt more of a survival scenario,
I thought to myself "what the hell am I doing here?"
but there was no way I would bring myself down mentally or physically.
When doing these types of hikes,
you can't let your state of mind be brought down
to a desperate level or give up that easy,
having some experience with past hikes
(not entirely compared to this one)
I knew I had to keep myself strong
and keep hiking until I reached the campground.
When we touched camp,
we felt so relieved and ready to have a good time,
which after we think we deserved it!
In my opinion,
this has been one of the toughest and most uncomfortable hikes
I've ever done on a personal experience.
The hardest thing was going through the wooded areas of the trail
and trying to keep the mosquitoes away from you,
at some point you couldn't feel them
but they kept coming swarming back.
Apart from that, I still was pretty satisfied to have completed
such a hard hike and glad I made it out alive (just kidding).
Now, I am looking forward to rest this upcoming weeks,
probably I'll be heading out in a couple weeks onto my next adventure.
Stay tuned.
