Getting Lost In Antelope Canyon (Utah Hiking Expedition 2021)

 Getting Lost In Antelope Canyon
(Utah Hiking Expedition 2021)
 Hello travelers!
Just back with another blog post from this Utah hiking expedition.
On our Day 3 of the trip we wanted to take it a little bit easier from the hiking,
so prior our trip we had rented some kayaks tour to get to Antelope Canyon.
Now, there are several ways you can get to Antelope Canyon,
however, this route was all about kayaking Lake Powell which
it is located between the state line of Arizona and Utah.
For this kayaking trip we used the services of Lake Powell Paddleboards And Kayaks.
I would say they are the best in this area and the kayaking tours business.
They have been around since 2013 and located in Page, Arizona,
so you'll have to drive to Arizona in order to do this tour.
They have won several Travelers Choice awards and rated 5-star on their
services through TripAdvisor, Google, Yelp, and other travel websites,
this really great reviews and awards helped us chose them for our kayaking trip.
After a 2-hours to drive to Page, Arizona we arrived to the store of Lake Powell Paddleboards,
upon our they complimented us with all the necessary items, guidance,
and tips to make our kayaking trip more enjoyable.
Their shop had some nice collections of souvenirs so I'd made sure to buy
some fridge magnets and t-shirts to add to my personal collection back home.
Just to give you some information about the prices of the tours,
kayaks would go from $75 per person and paddleboards fro $125 per person.
Tours would take you around 2 and half hours each way for kayakers,
equivalent to 2.5 miles with a total of 5-miles roundtrip.
I would say for paddleboarders it would be a little bit more since it requires only person paddling.
Each couple had rented their double-kayaks since we were not going to let the girls ride alone,
we prepared down at the docks and received our final instructions before we got into Lake Powell.
It was a beautiful, sunny and pretty hot Saturday to be kayaking down this lake,
if I remember correctly the temperature was as high as 105 Fahrenheit that day.
What really helped during this kayaking trip was the cold and refreshing water,
we were able to stop anytime and refresh our bodies by jumping into the water every moment.
After passing the wide waters of Lake Powell you'll start seeing the entrance of the narrowed slopes,
getting through here was an amazing experience probably the best section to
take photos and enjoy the amazing scenery of the canyons next to you.
A few miles later you'll reach the shore and the beginning of the short hike to Antelope Canyon.
Depending of the day and time you'll probably spot many kayaks parked here
but not to worry everyone is pretty friendly and with good vibes around here.
Since it is only a short trail about 1-mile each way to discover Antelope Canyon,
Damian and I decided to do the hike while the rest of the group waited behind at the lake.
This was a surprising decision by everyone since I thought the main
point was to reach this section and start exploring the canyons,
but I respected everyone's decision and didn't think twice about exploring these hidden canyons.
At this point I had brought my Nikon camera but since the last accident at The Narrows
I wasn't sure it would work and to my surprise I turned it on and it worked!!!
I was so happy and excited that my camera was working properly
and now I was ready to shoot a million photos on this beautiful place.
As you can see on the above content you can get a feeling of what of Antelope Canyon looks!
We explore more than we needed to on this trail so it was to head back to the kayaks and
paddle our way back to the marina as we only had a few hours left of kayak rentals.
As always say the way is back a lot easier and not stress of getting there on time,
we had a little bit of storm coming through the West of Arizona but after a strong
paddle we got to the marina on time and saved ourselves from the rainstorm.
I can't express how much I loved the Antelope Canyon.
No doubt in my mind it was my favorite hike of this expedition.
I feel like everyone should have the time to explore Antelope Canyon at least once in their lifetime.
Guys if you ever have the chance of visiting Arizona and want to do this kayak tour,
make sure to book directly with Lake Powell Paddleboards And Kayaks
as they are the best in the business for this kind of trip.
Hope everybody enjoys this blog post and all the content,
I think these were my favorite photos to edit of this entire
trip and I had a great time visiting Antelope Canyon.
This is one place I will never forget!
See you on the next blog.
