One Week In Costa Rica - Day 1: Boat Tour
/ Playas Del Coco / Playa Hermosa
(Costa Rica Summer Trip)
Hello everyone!
It's been a couple of weeks since my last blog post on the site.
I hope everyone has been enjoying their long and warm summer.
Now that summer will be officially over this late September,
this would be a great time to bring you my next collection of blog posts:
One Week In Costa Rica.
This past month of August we set course to the great country and paradise of Costa Rica.
We have been planning this summer trip for a few months now,
I would say as far as early January of 2022.
The idea came up one day talking about making our big summer trip of the year,
we wanted to make this a group trip with our closest friends and to do it as exclusive as possible.
A full on 7-days or one week plan for Costa Rica sounds like a really long time,
but as someone who has experienced Costa Rica before is never enough.
We placed this summer trip plan ahead of ourselves so cost wouldn't be an issue,
and for the past weeks before our trip I made a great and spontaneous itinerary for the group.
Along the way you'll find more blog post representing
each day and activities we did on that specific day,
as of this blog post we'll start with Day 1 of our Costa Rica Summer Trip.
We arrived on a gloomy and rainy Friday afternoon at Costa Rica.
We could feel the great atmosphere of the locals wanting to greet us
and taxi drivers wanting to offer rides to our hotels and resort.
For this trip, we had booked two separate Airbnbs,
one in Playa Hermosa, Guanacaste, just close enough to the coast and beaches,
and the second one was located in La Fortuna, Alajuela,
you'll read and see more about it when that blog comes around.
The main issue about Costa Rica is the traffic (locals would call it "Presas" in Spanish).
Since I've lived in Costa Rica before I knew what we were getting into when it came to traffic,
but none of my friends knew how it bad it was about to get.
Between the time frame of getting out of customs, getting our bags, and checking in with the rental car,
next thing you know it's already night time and we had to drive a long and tiring 4-hours to Guanacaste.
We arrived at the Airbnb a little bit over midnight and the party was just getting started!
Day 1 was all about visiting our local town Playa Hermosa or how we like to call it "Pueblitos".
We visited a couple of coffee spots and restaurants to get breakfast and lunch time with the group.
Later on, we went for a boat tour with some local fishermen,
they decided to take us to specific beaches and some private spots as well.
The private beach spots seemed unreal as we had the beach ourselves
and we could spend as many hours as we wanted here.
Also, the boat tour included a few hours of snorkeling, fishing, and whales sightseeing,
but unfortunately we were not able to spot any whales that afternoon.
Our entire afternoon was an absolute delight and we just knew right and
then how amazing Costa Rica was treating all of us since day one.
Our first night in Costa Rica we decided to stay in,
enjoy some of the amenities at our amazing Airbnb and
watch the sunset from our gorgeous infinity pool.
Nothing better than Costa Rica dazzling and unique Costa Rica sunset!
The fun does not stop here and this compilation of blogs either,
while I'm writing this blog post and still editing some photos,
I'm almost ready to launch Day 2 of our Costa Rica summer trip, so,
stay tuned for more blog posts and be back to check out all the content.
Pura Vida guys!
