One Week In Costa Rica - Day 2: Diamante
Eco Adventure Park / Horseback Riding
/ ATV / Ziplining / Playa Matapalo
(Costa Rica Summer Trip)
 Hello everyone.
We are back with Day 2 of my Costa Rica Summer Trip!
I just got to say I received a lot of great feedback from my first blog post of this series,
I guess a lot of enjoyed the places we visited and the activities we did around town,
so, this gives me a great deal of satisfaction because we really planned this trip to perfection.
Day 2 was all about activities and tours at a main location which was Diamante Eco Adventure,
but it was a hell of a fun day with many things to do around this park,
without much saying let's recount the stories of day 2!
Waking up on the next day after an adventurous and great first day in Costa Rica,
we found ourselves with a great list of things to do that day at Diamante Eco Adventure,
with just a 30-min drive from our Airbnb and our town Playa Hermosa,
and an early morning we had a full day of enjoyment and activities.
For our first activity of the day,
we had booked a morning horseback riding tour around 10AM,
this riding tour would take us to meet their local horse table,
meet the horses, one-hour ride through the main trail and end up at the beach.
As you can see from the photos above on this blog,
the horseback riding to the beach was magical!
Something out of a movie scene!
Next up, we had our ATV Tour.
Now this was the one I was the most excited for to be honest,
I just love the excitement and adrenaline when you get into one of these ATVs.
The last time I rode oneof these was back in the Dominican Republic,
and it wasn't as fun as this venture on these trails.
The ATV instructor led us through several dangerous and mud trails
which were really awesome and great to do!
We spotted several monkeys by the beach area,
but the most impressive and majestic moment
happened when we spotted the wild horses!
Just like our horseback ride to the beach,
this was a majestic moment seeing this wild horses roam
free by the beach and be around locals,
there was just something pure and unique about this moment that I will never forget.
The ATVs were a hell lot of fun,
but we were not stopping there!
While the majority of the group didn't want to do the next activity,
and waited for us by the private beach,
Luly, Lizi and I decided we were going for the Zip-lining!
I had previously done several Zip-lining on previous trips,
but you always feel that itch and anxiety of doing again and again.
The zip-lining was done through several stages,
you will complete the basic stage from one main point to another,
then keep on climbing based on the altitude and complete the next stage so and on.
The last stage is called the Superman Zip Line and let me tell you I completely agree with the name.
This is the most dangerous and highest point of the zip-lining,
you get to see the entire Diamante Eco Adventure Park from up there,
and it could get quite scary for those that have fear of heights.
Luckily for us we face out our fears and did it from this high point once and for all.
It was quite exhilarating and rushing to see everything from above,
even if it lasted only 45-seconds of zip-lining.
While there many other activities and things to do around the park such as:
Wildlife Sanctuary, Sloths Sightseeing, Coffee and Chocolate Tours, etc.
we decided the main ones were completed and that it was time to enjoy ourselves by the beach.
Just driving down we spotted this amazing bar called Monkey's Bar.
We had to make a quick stop here for a few drinks that turned into 10+ shots of Chiliguaros,
met an conversed with the owner of the bar and we just had a great time here.
Such an amazing local bar that you cannot miss from either way you are coming from.
A little few steps from Monkey's Bar there it was Playa Matapalo!
Believe it or not this was the same private beach that we had gone through
earlier during day while we were doing the horseback and ATV tour,
there just different areas that we didn't get the chance to see.
I couldn't believe it how such a tiny private beach could be so beautiful in many ways.
We spent the rest of the afternoon here just enjoying the beautiful beach and waves,
nothing seemed to matter and that was the perfect moment of our day.
I think this pretty much sums up how busy and active it was our Day 2 in Costa Rica.
I leave you guys with all my content and photos,
really hope you enjoy this blog post as much as you did the previous one.
Also, hope you guys are following along because things are just starting to get better now.
Stay tuned this week for the continuation of Day 3.
Pura Vida!
